So after our visit at Mimi and Abue's house, we (Mimi, Tyler, and I) left for Tyler's first vacation. The three of us were going first to Florida and then Abue and Uncle Brian were meeting up with us a few days later. Daddy could not make the trip because of work. We were not happy about it, but it is the way it goes sometimes. For our plane ride, we had to make a stop at the Atlanta airport. On the way to Atlanta, Mimi's seat was not next to us, but then the stewardess was nice enough to ask the person next to me to switch with us so that we could all sit next to each other. I was happy for that because I knew it would be better if two of us were entertaining Tyler rather than one. So our flight to Atlanta went well. Our flight from Atlanta to Montgomery, Alabama was interesting. It was one of the really small planes. We had to leave all our carry-on bags at the tarmat because they were too big to fit in the compartments on the plane. Fortunately, it was a short flight. It was one of those by the time we were set in the air, it was almost time to head back down rides. After landing in Montgomery, we were driving to our beach house in Florida. That was the longest part of the trip. What was thought to be about a two hour trip was actually like 4 1/2 hours. It was forever long. Tyler did pretty well considering it was the longest he has ever been in a car which is why I wanted to fly instead of drive the whole trip. In my opinion, driving for extended hours with infants is way worse than flying. They cannot move around at all when you are driving because they are stuck in their car seat. At least on a plane, they can wiggle a little and do not feel constrained. Anyway, we finally made it late that night - yeah! Beach time!
Zoned Out!
